FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY PROJECTS – APPLY NOW

22 August 2019

Right now, funding is available under three Federal grants programs in Macquarie.

I’m encouraging all our local not-for-profit organisations to take a look and see if they have a project that may qualify under one or more programs.

Many groups will be familiar with the Stronger Communities Programme, which funds small capital projects to improve local community participation and contribute to vibrant and viable communities.

Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available on a 50/50 funding basis. Expressions of interest are now being taken for Round 5 of this programme, via https://www.susantempleman.com.au/scg and close on 18 September.

The Communities Environment Program 2019-20 is a new grants scheme, designed to support small scale, community-led environment projects that address local environmental priorities. Grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available and don’t require matched funding. Expressions of interest can be submitted at https://www.susantempleman.com.au/cep and close on 18 September.

In line with the program guidelines, all Expressions of Interest for the Stronger Communities Grants and Communities Environment Program will then be considered by an independent panel, who will assist in selecting the projects to progress to the next level. Those community groups will then be invited to submit a formal grant application for their project to the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.

The Local Schools Community Fund is also a new grants scheme,
